The compact car Elantra is available in three different versions namely, four door sedan, sporty model named Elantra Touring and five door hatchback.

The competitors to this model include Ford Focus, Honda Civic, Chevy Cobalt, Toyota Corolla, Mazda 3, Nissan Sentra and other compact cars. The model provides lots of interior space when compared with the other compact models.

Fuel economy of the vehicle is good and it is mated with the 4-speed automatic transmission. With the powerful engine, the model can achieve fuel economy of 25 miles per gallon in the city premises, while it achieves 33 miles per gallon on the highway roads.

The seating capacity in this vehicle is 5. The front seats in the model gives more comfortable space to the passengers for both hip and leg room. The Touring version of the Elantra is a five door model, with styling that is different than that of a sedan. It is a sporty model that is included with more responsive steering, longer wheel base and at the same provides delivers the utility and versatility of a 5-door body design style. The interior space in the vehicle is more than any other 5-door car in its class.

Apart from the exterior and the interior features, the compact model also provides sufficient safety features like traction control system, electronic stability program, antiskid system, curtain side air bags, front side air bags and antilock braking system.
