Elantra Problems
The current generation Hyundai Elantra is a four door family sedan model that has the capacity to accommodate up to five passengers. The model was available in two different trim levels- SE and GLS.
Upon introduction, both the models are powered by a standard 2.0 liter inline-4 engine that produces power up to 138 hp. The fuel economy delivered by this model is 24 miles per gallon in the city streets, while it delivers 33 miles per gallon on the highway roads. The standard transmission on both the versions is the five-speed manual with overdrive, while the four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is offered as optional.
The current generation problems are due to its engine. The consumption of fuel by the engine may disappoint the customers. The mileage produced by the present generation of this carĀ is less in comparison to the other small car models. The brakes in the vehicle look indistinct.
Apart from the mileage, the Elantra model provides all kinds of comfort and standard features. The safety features in the model include traction control, electronic stability control, brake assist system, park assist program, disc brakes and passenger and driver air bags.
